What’s the difference between the old and new What To Wear Guides, and can I still use the old one?Updated 11 days ago
You can absolutely continue to use the old guide — it remains completely safe and reliable. The updates to the new What To Wear Guide are primarily designed to simplify the experience for new parents and provide clearer, more precise recommendations.
Here’s what’s changed in the new version:
Simplified Layout: The guide is easier to read and follow, especially for first-time parents.
More Precise Temperature Recommendations: Layering suggestions are now provided for every 1–2°C increment instead of broader ranges.
New Packaging Placement: The guide is now printed directly on the back of the packaging, rather than included as a separate insert. You can simply cut off the thermometer section and keep it handy.
Colour-Coded TOG Labels: TOG ratings are now colour-coded on the product to help parents identify them at a glance.
Updated Product Names: Some product names have been refreshed for clarity (e.g., Jersey Bag is now called the Sleeping Bag, and the Tuck Sheet is now the HugMe Blanket).
No matter whether you have our old or new What To Wear Guide on hand, both are safe to use and you will quickly learn what works best for your child.
